PAST/FORWARD: A Group Exhibition Celebrating Amos Eno Gallery's 40 Year Anniversary

January 30 – March 1, 2014 Opening Reception, Friday, February 7th from 6 to 9PM

Amos Eno Gallery is pleased to present PAST/FORWARD. The exhibition will be on view from January 30th through March 2nd, 2014, with an opening reception from 6 to 9 PM on Friday, February 7th. PAST / FORWARD is the first of two exhibitions scheduled for 2014 in honor of Amos Eno Gallery's 40 year anniversary.

PAST/FORWARD explores the tri-partite theme of examining the past, present, and future, featuring work in a variety of media, from fabric to video to charcoal on paper to ceramic. The exhibition is curated by Gallery Director Hilary R. Whitham, who earned her BA from Fordham University, and is currently completing her MA thesis at the City College of New York, CUNY.

PAST/FORWARD includes a preview of new work by current gallery members Susan Camp, Samantha Jones, Sun Young Seo, Gwen Shockey, and Walter Zimmerman; along with works by Brooklyn-based guest artists Luciano Crossa, Sara Sciabbarrasi, Laolu Senbanjo, Soyeon Shin, Ian Trask, Megan Wallner, and Matt Whitman.

All work will be for sale. Artists retain seventy percent of sales. The remaining thirty percent supports Amos Eno Gallery's programming, and our mission to provide a platform for emerging local artists, giving precedence to artistic expression freed from commercial restraints. Amos Eno Gallery is located in Suite 120 at The Shops at the Loom, 1087 Flushing Avenue in Brooklyn. Gallery hours are from 12 to 6PM, Thursday through Sunday.
