Erik Patton
Stool Sample
February 1 - 25, 2018

Amos Eno Gallery presents Stool Sample, an exhibition of recent works by Erik Patton. A reception will be held on Friday, February 9 from 6 - 8 PM at 56 Bogart Street in Brooklyn, NY.
Patton’s 3rd solo project at the gallery, Stool Sample, is a partial-room constructed environment that continues his interest in the body and its relation to materiality. As early as the Old Babylonian hymns, the anus has been recognized as a body portal. Where will yours take you? Put on some booties and have a seat.
Erik received his bachelor’s degree from Harvard College in Art History and Visual and Environmental Studies, attended the Skowhegan School of Painting & Sculpture, and is a graduate of Hunter College’s Master of Fine Arts program in Combined Media. In the last ~5 years, Patton has shown his work in New York, Philadelphia, Houston, Chicago at various galleries, institutions and fairs including: MoMA PS1, Center for Contemporary Art (Bedminster), Governors Island Art Fair, Houston Fine Art Fair, and Via Curb Gallery at David Zwirner. Erik currently lives and works in NYC.
